Daniel Radcliffe was "so intimidated" by Alan Rickman on the "Harry Potter" sets and thought "he hates me." Years later, Rickman would cut a vacation short to see Radcliffe on Broadway.

wasn't it his first movie, full stop? i also read that he refused to do a scene where he threw Bonnie Bedelia on the ground and ripped her shirt open, his FIRST MOVIE and he's already standing up to that bullshit, absolute king.

I was thinking that but then I second guessed myself because he made it look so effortless.

This I didn't know. Absolute King, indeed <3 I think he's mentioned in past interviews that starting so late was probably better for his mental health in the long run because he wouldn't have had any idea how to handle certain industry norms if he were younger. I'm glad the HP kids had people like him looking out for them onset.
