Perrie Edwards unveils debut solo single 'Forget About Us'

Apr 12, 2024 00:47

Perrie From Little Mix (her official surname) has just dropped her debut solo single Forget About Us. She's the third member of the group to launch her post-group career after... an attempt... by Jesy Nelson, and underrated bops from Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

She also spoke to NME about writing her album and working with RAYE

At least it doesn’t take her years to release something unlike a certain someone.

They said the lead single was going to be a safe, basic, choice and it is. Not sure why the UK girlies love Ed Sheeran but imho this song is a waste of her voice.

By all accounts/ reviews the album itself should have better stuff on it.

Also, Perrie, LYING about changing the lyrics to her own experience while keeping the bonfire smoke line, when she's never been able to smell lol.

it's cute! she's so talented.

I've been the most excited for her and Jade's solo stuff.

Ehh i'm not really here for her doing more of her white-girl-black-girl-singing 🙄

LA and Jade need to put more momentum into their solo output, I like Little Mix somewhat but it was really more them 2 over the other half of the group

White British girls have this annoying tendency to always want to sing in a style typical of Black women and people always eat it up so Perrie being another example of that is a reason I never cared for her or Jesy, it always felt so blatant but if it's ever pointed out you're labeled a hater

What does that even mean? She has a ridiculously strong voice, is that it? How can she hide it while singing?

e: i obviously mean Perrie here with the strong voice, not Jesy lol
