Not a legal expert but I did digging and I think he wants him to testify on when he and Jenna started living together which affects things like spousal support.

A lot of time spousal support is extended until the party getting support is married or cohabitating with someone else. Sometimes you'll have an ex refusing to marry their new partner so they can keep cashing those sweet, sweet cheques.
