maybe i'll eat my words in a few months, but i just cannot fathom a trump movie doing well in an election year of all years. the people who love him will be mad about "hollyweird" and anything less than a glowing portrait of him, which this won't be, and the rest of us who hate him will be sick of anything to do with him.

Agreed. I'm politically informed, but I'll be damned if I willingly let in more Trump than the news require. MAGA will probably be up in arms about this, and nothing about it will surprise the rest of us who've been paying attention (and just wish he'd go away). Who is the audience for this?

Yeah, that's my one concern. With it being about his relationship with Roy Cohn, I can't imagine that it'll make him look great, but the timing is... not good.
