I personally started with the UK version and enjoyed it more because it's 'normies' aka regular people, whereas the US has half reality stars on s1 and all reality stars on s2. it's a completely different dynamic. so me personally I did UK 1 (2 hadn't been released yet) then US 1, Canada 1, AUS 1-2 then NZ 1 and UK2 and US2 simultaneously. I guess my biggest recommendation would be to keep AUS2 for last since it's the most frustrating one, and if you wanna start with UK then the two seasons back to back are excellent.
This season was so frustrating. I skipped a few episodes just to get to the end. [Spoiler (click to open)] Every time someone would say "Sam's a traitor" and he would just go "no you!" And everyone just... went with it? How did they not notice every person who voted for him was immediately banished or murdered? EVERY. TIME.
that season was extremely frustrating! [Spoiler (click to open)] i ended up skipping the last 2 episodes and fast-forwarded to the end. i looooved that camille fucked the guys over. blake crying like a baby and sam having his douchey meltdown, truly an amazing ending.
Admittedly I haven't watched any version of the Traitors although a friend of mine keeps trying to get me into the UK version.
Technically related though, for anyone who watches and also watched Survivor (I've never watched that show because it's my fucking nightmare), what do you think of Parvati Shallow? I ask because she's dating Mae Martin and idk, I just get bad vibes. First off from the way she described their first date while Mae was still technically dating someone else but also on a recent episode of Handsome Mae said that Parvati lies a lot. idk if that was just a joke about the show she's on but she strikes me as the kind of person who just casually lies and you would never know based on how she acts.
I can’t speak for Mae Martins observations about Parvati lying bc I don’t know the context but she was a femme fatale that’s somewhat infamous for having the charisma/social literacy to pull off some of the most legendary moves in survivor (she and Cirie from season 1 convinced a guy who was the only one not in an alliance of five girls to give away his necklace and they all voted him out). She’s a two time finalist (played four times) so she lied a lot on the show.
I think she plays up her villainousness. As far as I’ve heard, she’s never done anything awful to someone else outside of the game but I also don’t know the context of what Mae was saying (if it was a survivor joke or a life observation or something)
Oh, that's very interesting! I think personally I was really turned off at her describing her first date and Mae saying...yeah I was seeing someone else at the time. But also Mae didn't seem to think that was their first date so who knows. And the way she pronounces her name drives me batty.
