I am so grateful that I only have a pain migraine very very very infrequently. Like maybe 3 times in my life and that was more than enough. I do get ocular migraines but that’s so much more tolerable.

mine also rarely rise to extreme pain anymore with meds, but I have vestibular migraine so for me I have intense vertigo, can't drive, lights and patterns make me feel nauseous, etc. Every type sucks in its own unique way

Yes! I have vestibular as well. And holy hell does it suck!

I finally bought a shower chair & I'm sad I waited so long.

omg that's genius I should get one. bc showers feel so good when I'm in one, but I really don't have the mental focus to balance and keep my eyes open and do all the shower stuff. I end up taking a man shower with is body wash and a hair "rinse" lol

I’m always thrown by advertising of prescription medication in American magazines and when I see snippets like this. It’s not legal here, and I’m glad. I don’t want to be seeing “Ask your doctor about Focussin” every five minutes.

I also think it’s a dangerous path for a celeb to be advertising meds. All it takes is one bad reaction from one person who says they took it on the celeb’s recommendation and it’s lawsuits ahoy.

its disgusting bc the cost of meds is high in part to pay for celebs to advtise for them.

It takes 10+ years, hundreds (if not thousands) of people, and around $1 billion to actually make a medicine, put it through clinical trials and get it approved. Marketing budgets are actually absolutely tiny in comparison (source: I work in healthcare marketing and our budgets are shit). And after a medicine comes to market they have 10 years before its patent expires and other companies can make generic copies of it.

And let’s not forget that in those 10+ years of development a drug can fail at any time and then potentially hundreds of millions of dollars are basically lost. I once worked on a drug that failed in the very last trials before it would get submitted for approval.

So to keep actually discovering and making medicines they have to be expensive. Don’t get me wrong. Big Pharma are assholes in a lot of ways, and there’s evidence of them price-hiking for greed (looking at you, Celgene) but there’s a reason medicines are generally so expensive, and it’s not paying celebs to hawk them.

Here is my issue. She is being paid for this. So big pharma has to sell their drugs at a higher cost to pay ppl like Gaga to advertise their drugs. Its shitty. Focus on your damn art and not pharmaceuticals and make up for God's sake!
