They're still trying to make her happen, huh?

So someone replied to this to accuse me of being "disconnected from reality" because Camila Cabello has absolutely happened. They've then deleted it and posted their sentiments elsewhere on the thread like I wouldn't notice.

I'd like to reassure everyone that I of course utterly respect the sanctity of the word "happen," and shall certainly think twice before making obvious movie jokes or unflattering implications about Camila Cabello's career in future.

I guess wearing pink tomorrow is out

She's in a dead heat with Rita Ora for "most consistently irrelevant pop star".

Currently, maybe. But Rita never had a mega hit like Camilla.

The US isn't the world, FYI.

Rita does just fine in the UK (and maybe elsewhere idc).

Sounds like her label didn’t support this artistic direction and she took a chance anyway.

The song wasn’t my cup of tea, but the video had cool visuals.

She signed to a new label for this album so I don't think they don't care because of the album's direction. I think they just don't care about her. The label she is at now which is Interscope has Bille Eilish, Olivia rodrigo and Selena Gomez. She use to be on a label where she was like the biggest pop star. Now she's way further down the list lol

I hate how much this song has grown on me. I still hate the mumble rap verse by Playboi but the song itself is a chaotic bop that belongs in a Harmony Korine film.
