I don't watch the show but I do know how racy it can be and I do approve, because it seems that the actors are comfortable and it at least entertains people.

That's fair.

I get why the actors may not want their families who want to watch everything they're in to see them in certain situations, but I feel like the whole point of a show like Bridgerton and its genre is that there are sex scenes so viewers wanting a version that doesn't have any/implies it only defeats the purpose 🤷🏽‍♀️

I was just really surprised that so many of the comments on that reddit post wanted a PG version

Disagree, I think the point of Bridgerton like stuff is the romance, which doesn't always mean explicit sex scenes for people. Just like people watching romcoms aren't always looking for HBO style sex scenes.

I agree. I want to rewatch before the new season but I remember one episode being so so "racy" it was almost taxing to watch lol especially with other people.

And I dont say this as a prude but sometimes I'm just not in the mood for all that jazz I just want to watch the story and look at them 😄 and not have to lower my volume lol

We barely got anything. I want raunchy scenes this season!

I'd want it too if I were literally any of the actors. But her family is Irish Catholic, and she's the youngest of her siblings. I get why she put it in her contract. lol

Phoebe Tonkin shared that her dad's favorite show is the Affair, and she had to warn him not watch certain parts of her episode because of nudity/sex.

I definitely get why she'd want it cause if I were an actor I wouldn't want my family to see me doing certain things lol. I just didn't expect other people to want a PG version instead of what exists

Exactly! It must be so awkward when those scenes happen. And some shows are just so big/popular, how do you avoid your whole family just not watching?

I love this! I’d never allow my parents to watch anything even remotely risqué I did. This would be an every-contract-demand of mine.

I have never watched it and I don't have a fully formed opinion about her, but I think it's pretty cool that a woman has a relatively low stakes and superfluous request/demand in her contract. I have never used the phrase and I'm a few years too late, but is this what BDE means?

Yeah I'd say it's pretty BDE lol. I think a lot of actors would want this but may not feel comfortable asking so it's badass that she did

she arguably does the most public appearances out of any of the cast and is the most well known (bc of Derry Girls and now Bridgerton) so she does have some weight of her to leverage.
