has this show gotten better after episode 2? i found it boring but i love the cast so i want it to be good.

This one finally really took off (I thought). Episodes 1-4 were entertaining “enough” for me, but I wasn’t totally invested. I feel like things finally really picked up with this latest episode - 5. And now I’m actually looking forward to the next episode.

A lot of 1-4 are building the characters and giving you mere hints of ulterior motives. 5 really began answering some of the mysteries.

Even though I was disappointed that Douglas turned out to be such a shitbag, I wasn’t surprised. I was more surprised that Maxine didn’t realize she was the other woman sooner because the timeline seemed pretty obvious. The date on the wedding invitation was April 1949. Norma and Evelyn already knew Maxine was pregnant the morning of the wedding which means Maxine told Douglas before the wedding.

You’d think Maxine would have done the simple math and realized that he was going to marry Linda after he knew Maxine was pregnant and therefore had been dating Maxine while he was engaged to Linda, yet she seemed shocked when she realized that she was the slut in Linda’s story.

I really thought Douglas would be an exception to the shitty rich guys club but of course he isn't :/ When the invitation showed up, I thought the reveal would be that he called off the wedding because he wasn't in love then met Maxine which would then piss off Norma.

Soooo with the scene from a few eps before of Ricky's character cleaning up a syringe and now always talking about her insulin shots, he accidentally gave Norma the embolism?

I feel like this show is lacking a point. It is very much great sets, beautiful sets, and lighting. The plucky character to root for is just meh.

I shall keep watching because it is low-stress background noise.

How is there a secret in a Rolodex? Isn't it for phone numbers and addresses?

I watched like 20 minutes of the first episode and turned it off bc it was just… there. It wasn’t funny or gripping, it was just pretty. I want to like it though.

I think she just briefly writes the secrets on the back of the cards. It just said “attempted murderer” on the back of Linda’s.

Yeah, I saw that. I grew up when they were still prevalent and it seems like an odd choice of place to store secrets.
