Her slide into absolute cartoon villainy over the last few years has been sooo fucking disappointing. I remember I first got into reading as a child because I overheard the audiobook of the first HP novel at a friend's house (in particular, the bit where Stephen Fry screams as Draco seeing Voldemort drink the unicorn blood) and I remember getting the fourth book at the library and being HOOKED. The amount of HP fanfiction I consumed in my early teenage years was almost unholy. Then I grew out of it, could see it had many flaws and pitfalls, but it still had a fond place in my heart, until ALL OF THIS.

Tattoo removal is incredibly painful so I’d take clown tbh lol I’m halfway through my sessions (not a hp tat tho, just a poorly done one) and the only reason I’m sticking to it is because I’ve already paid for the whole package.

Wow! Just when I think J.K Rowling can’t get worse, she does. I have no idea why she thinks that by giving transgender people rights and protections that it takes away from girls/women (well I do), when it doesn’t. Also she talks about women being killed, raped etc, when literally the same thing happens to transgender people as well.

And I agree with OP, this law by the sounds of it is not just about protecting transpeople, but also disability, age and religion, and yet she doesn’t acknowledge how great that is but instead chooses to focus on transgender people. But honestly J.K Rowling is your run of the mill white feminist who has no idea about intersectionality and that actually supporting transgender people is feminism.
