I haven’t seen the Christmas Specials yet (I have a lot of feelings about Thirteen’s legacy), but I’ve been excited about Ncuti’s run from the start. His Doctor’s going to be amazing.
Ruby… idk, feels like Rose v2.0 to me? (not literally, although I wouldn’t put it past RTD.) I hate that casting announcements are made public this early, because those along with this trailer handing her a bouquet of death flags made it hard to get too excited about her character.
It feels more like a children’s show due to the editing and production design, and thank god for that. Chibnall brightened it up quite a bit during his run and I’m glad RTD is pushing it even further. I can’t handle another run filled with dour blue/green tones. (Yet another reason Moffat should never be allowed to do anything but write anymore.)
