I can already tell St. Vincent's album is gonna be amazing!! I love "Flea" even more than "Broken Man". I liked her last era fine, but this harder rock bent is so much more my speed.

Listened through Country Carter this morning... ngl, the singles are my favorites so far, and I don't like Jolene at all. But I am positive a few of the songs will grow on me. Was not expecting a straight cover of Blackbird, loved that!

i am LOVING the new stuff from st. vincent. as someone who has followed her since 2008 i feel like she's finally giving me what i've been waiting so patiently for.

the beginning beat to flea reminds me of the song leviathan from a couple albums back, so it feels very familiar at first.

I've been REALLY enjoying Illit's debut mini album SO MUCH this week. Magnetic is a whole bop.

I also am LOVING J-Hope's album. "I Wonder" and "I Don't Know" are especially so good. I might make a post about it after the docuseries finishes because I think that seeing Hobi dance to each song and explore different dance styles via each song is part of what makes the album so good. So I want to make a post about the docuseries as a whole. But yeah, Hope on the Street is great. As a project it's maybe only 2nd to Indigo for me in terms of BTS member's solo projects.

I can't stop listening to Beyonce. I was lukewarm when the singles came out, though Texas Hold 'Em grew on me over time, but the entire album has me HOOKED.

I did not like 16 Carriages since it came out (but liked Texas Hold 'Em), but in the context of the album it's so good. I haven't stopped listening to the album today whenever I've been able to between meetings, obsessed.

I'm probably halfway through Country Carter. I think I'm going to have to listen to it a few times to fully appreciate it. I know people have mixed opinions on Jolene, but I will say that I do like the fact that Beyonce didn't make it a straight cover of the song since we have so many of those already.
