The only way I see this continuing in any way is if they fire Sam Levinson. He’s a disaster. But I don’t think Zendaya will go forward without him.

The show gave Zendaya two Emmys and a couple of films that did good to the other two. They'll always be loyal, at least until the inevitable cancelation of Levinson.

yeah that would be interesting, focusing on the Nate/Jules connection. Rue being in rehab would be good I think, as a parallel to the first season but now she's actually invested and doing the work.
I feel like the show really lost its way in the second season and I feel it takes a more consistent and self-critical writer than Levinson to right this ship. like you need to look at what didn't work, why it didn't work, and go back to the drawing board with a strong vision and clear intent, and I just don't see Levinson as that kind of writer you know?

it’s funny bringing up Veronica Mars bc there were reports saying s3 was gonna be a neo-noir and season 1 of VMars was so good bc it leaned so heavily into noir with this kind of modern california soaked vibe to it. it doesn’t look all that much like Euphoria but it makes sense that it’s a predecessor in some ways.

what do you mean by reveal? jules knew that he was who she was talking to and nate threatened her with the nudes she sent him. she struggled with dealing with being in love with who she thought he was when he was tyler to her compared to the monster he ended up being. nate told her that he meant everything he said to her while pretending to be tyler in s2. personally, i hope they keep jules far away from that man in any potential s3 after all he's done to her

i don't follow this cast very closely but i've noticed a lot of the main stars have gotten movie jobs except alexa demie. is there a reason for that?

three reasons probably:

1. she doesn’t want it and is happy being a fashion girl
2. skill issue, i love her but she has been the same in everything i’ve seen her in
3. she’s picky? because we do know for a fact she auditioned for the madonna movie

i think the answer is a combo of 1 & 3, she’s picky but is also happy to pursue other endeavors like fashion and i think she worked on a book too and is writing a screenplay

the past two seasons had 8 episodes and each took 8 months to film, so a month per episode is normal for them. who knows why or why that's even allowed lol but doesn't seem it will be any different this time around

It’s cause in the past Sam was completing the scripts as they filmed and that held up production. That’s why they emphasized they wouldn’t start filming until the scripts for season 3 were complete. He’s a disaster.
