I mean Norman Lear stole the ideas for good times and other shows from Eric Monte then blacklisted him, this is just a continuation of the racism plaguing this show

I saw a video where they explain the Monte claims, and while I believe him, in principle, because writer's rooms are full of theft, I don't remember seeing any evidence of it - do you know of any?

Yeah, idk. Settling out of court is a good way to just make something go away, rather than deal with allegations. It's not proof, but it's possible.
