I used to watch his videos quite frequently but I hate what they’ve become. The videos are so gimmicky now. I just want to watch smart people teaching me how to cook.

yeah, there is something about his videos that keeps me from watching him. they're a little condescending, a little pompous. right now my favorites are claire saffitz, j. kenji lopez-alt (i have such a crush idek), brian lagerstrom, and ethan chlebowski.

I got so pumped when Kenji moved to Seattle. We now have a legit food critic out here who focuses on more than the expensive or well-known restaurants. The carnitas place he recommended was soooooo gooooood (and affordable!). He is one of the only foodcelebrities that I would be excited to see or possibly meet.

edited to add “food” because I would argue that he’s one

I swear, I don't mean to shade anyone but as someone who grew up in a house with a double sink, I have no idea how anyone manages with just a single sink in the kitchen.

I just realized that most of my extended family have single sinks; my parents had one, too, but my dad fixed that. omg, and our friends have one in their remodeled kitchen, but theirs is huge so it’s slightly okay.

I don’t understand why people have singles, though. I don’t care what you’re doing, someone will force their way in to share that one sink with you. It’s unnerving and I hate it with a passion.

It's honestly one of those things where once you've experienced it/had it, you cannot go back. Anything less is a quality of life decrease. It's to the point where this is literally my deal-breaker(aside from pests and rodents) when apartment hunting. It's bad enough having only a single sink in the kitchen, I genuinely do not understand those basement units with kitchen sinks so tiny that I can't even fit my pans or pots in there to clean; wtf am I suppose to do with a sink that small and shallow??

i've lived with a single sink for the past 8 years and i HATE it omg. if i'm washing dishes i essentially have to wash them one by one keeping the sink unplugged and it's such a waste of water!!
