I appreciate this and his concern for the crew. You usually don’t hear people taking them into consideration.

Seems hypocritical coming from a Polanski supporter.

It annoys me to no end that men will only start caring about the treatment of women once they have daughters of their own. And sometimes even with daughters they don’t care!

Especially when their concern is "I don't want people to see my daughter naked" which still feels patriarchal and possessive even if they try to phrase it through a feminist lens.

Like I can see a world in which he's actually seeing it from her perspective, but.

Except he didn't say that; he framed it as more of an autonomy issue and the ability to say "no" to directors who might want to foster unnecessary nude scenes on them.

He didn't literally say that, no. But as others have pointed out, it's depressing when men only seem to "get it" once they've had daughters.

In this case, nothing prevented him from having these thoughts prior to having kids. And yet he's saying that he "awoke" to it because he did.

It’s a good point made by a trash person.

I love the idea of having a qualified intimacy coordinator (not just some rando they brought in for appearances) on every set making every person feel comfortable - whether they’re male, female, young, old, married, single, and so on.

So good on them for making the right decision for once!

but the critically acclaimed show Idol on HBO Max told me that intimacy coordinators were just a drag to make things less sexy?

it cracks me up how we’ve collectively chosen not to let this go 😂 like I can’t even remember which ONTDers even said this, just that someone said it
