the voice acting, the animation, the powers, the camera work, the direction, the EMOTION - top fucking notch

and I love that the politics are very much updated for today and feel a lot more radical than before, very much more “well um maybe magneto was kinda right” LOL and the second episode was verrrrry January 6th vibes. and the Xmen/mutants have never felt so powerful on screen imo. they really captured everyone's powers in the right way, especially Cyclops and Storm

overall it was giving me Invincible (just not as adult bc it's still Disney lol) and the trailers did not do it justice, so I am so very relieved. I think my favorite part is how it doesn't feel like a cash grab and actually has purpose, is doing appropriate callbacks to the original, and still feels like a drama. I definitely teared up a few times.

so happy to hear that they're doing another season, and I hope this means good things for X-Men in the MCU!
