there were so many little kids at my show and it was a little ridiculous. like, that's great if you're a parent who is okay with an R-rated show and can teach your kids about it accordingly, but to expect the concert to cater to the needs of your children because you couldn't do research is...

Surely responsible parents will be accompanying their kids and ensure that they don't receive these contraceptives if they're not of an appropriate age? (I forgot, there's an expectation for everyone to parent your child for you these days.)

Right-wingers with their 'abstinence only' ignorance would react the exact same way to condoms, but i think part of the uproar has to do with the misinformation that Plan B = abortion pill, rather than pregnancy prevention (it prevents implantation; if you're already pregnant it doesn't work).

I was literally having this convo with my ex husband today. Our son is in high school and is coming up on his 1 yr anniversary with his girlfriend. They’re started having sex recently.

My ex said he hasnt talked to our son that much about sex and he’s worried that providing him with condoms would send the ‘wrong message’.

Luckily, ive already had multiple conversations with our son about consent, stds, contraceptives, emotionally safe sex and sex that you see in porn is not realistic or healthy.

My ex will find out one day but i dont think he’s emotionally capable of handling this information now.
