As someone who literally had microblading because I was so unhappy after I lost half my eyebrows for a reason the doctors still don't understand, I cannot comprehend this aesthetic.

lol literally came here to say something similar. I just don’t get this look. I think it’s especially disconcerting as we rely a lot on eyebrows to interpret facial language and without them you just can’t get as a good a read on somebody at times.

It makes me think of the worst ANTM makeovers always had bleached eyebrows.

she always has the same facial expression and pose in every picture she's in.

yeah I am really surprised at the similarity of these shots, especially when she's done fantastic modelling (particularly on pole) in the past

same! i know she can be so expressive in photographs. idk what happened here. she is as stunning as ever (ripeyebrows) but...there's no variety. it's strange

Right? I feel mean because I’m sure she’s a nice person and I know she’s been through some shit (trash men, of course), but love, do you have ANY other expression than that stunned mullet one?

I recently read Accessing the Healing Power of the Vagus Nerve by Stanley Rosenberg and it was a good introduction. Basically it explains how the vagus nerve, a cranial nerve of the autonomic nervous system, has two branches which include the known sympathetic chain flight/ fight response. But this theory by Stephen Porges goes further to suggest there are three neural circuits that include the ventral branch which gives us positive states of relaxation and social engagement and also the dorsal branch that causes shutdown and depressive behavior. There are exercises you can practice to reset your vagus nerve into the ventral state. Basically just keeping head level and moving your eyeballs off to one side and keeping them there for some moments until you sigh. I am by by NO means a science person so I hope I explained this clearly.
