Alcide was dull and it was hilarious how little Sookie cared when he died.

All of Sookie’s other relationships were toxic, but I thought she had the best chemistry with Bill.

Sookie just couldn’t find herself a normal guy, huh? Alcide was def the best looking.

I stopped watching this after the fairy reveal, it was too stupid. Seasons 1 and 2 and parts of season 3 were 🔥 though

Same. I just started rewatching again, but I tend to get bored of it after a few seasons. The fairy stuff was hilariously bad and embarrassing.

I hated that fairy stuff, it's so OTT and aggressively "NOT LIKE OTHER GIRLS!!". I'm glad they gave us Pam's reaction because the show needed that self-awareness.

Sookie did apparently end up w/ a normal guy, she was pregnant in the last scene where she was having dinner with everyone else. Said guy was also in the scene but they didn't show his face.

I’m thinking about watching true blood next ? Is it good? Worth it?

It’s kinda ridiculous in places but I remembered that it was usually a very fun watch. Lots of quotable bits but also some sad stuff here and there. Like the sad is real sad but the dumb stuff is so over the top.

I always had fun anyway and would recommend!

It was definitely a fun, summer show when it was on. It is a bit slow in parts but hilariously absurd! I will say a lot of the social commentary pieces about society and the way many cling to conservative viewpoints is very relevant to today as much as it was in the early 2010s.

I just remember how badly the author messed up the last book of a very long series and didn't even do a book tour of it because people hated it so much.

I honestly forgot I read any of them until I exported my Goodreads account to Storygraph. I made it pretty far but so glad I apparently gave up before the end lol

That first season was so much fun and then it turned into a mess. I think I dropped it after the Fiona Shaw season. I hated how they wrote Tara and Lafayette past s1. Best TB characters imo. I just couldn't take it anymore.

Tara and Lafayette were the only reason I stuck with it for so long. The show was unwatchable without them; not even my love for Pam could save it.
