Whether fighting vampires or putting together a chic outfit, Buffy Summers always slayed, but unfortunately, star Sarah Michelle Gellar didn't keep all of those iconic '90s and '00s looks. https://t.co/srZwTqIG8v

Realistically I know that if I had shown up in a long turquoise coat and purple pants, I would have looked like a clown in an ill fitting raincoat, but that didn’t stop me from coveting this outfit for years.

I know many will be "eww" but one of my favorite outfits she wore was the one she wore when she first slept with Spike.

Another one I like is the one in season 1 and she goes on a date with some guy (can't remember his name) and she says one of her iconic lines "if the apocalypse comes, beep me" or something like that.

Majority of my favorite looks come season 6 and 7.

Never Kill a Boy on the First Date is a fantastic episode (the guy's name was Owen) and her little gold dress with the jacket and boots were such a look. I'll admit I'm a full 90s girl and didn't connect to most of the season 6 and 7 looks.

I wish they hadn’t made Spike so human like. When he eventually got his soul it didn’t feel that significant. It would’ve been interesting if he was straight up William and had no idea wtf was going on and started experiencing all the things he did as Spike.

That’s true, it seemed like they were setting up something more interesting at first in Lessons when Buffy first comes across him in the basement and he’s not quite with it and mumbling some William phrases about dropping his chalkboard or something, but then by the next episode he’s dyed his hair and trying to get back to his old self again. I guess there was pressure to get Spike back as soon as possible as he was such a popular character, but there was a lot more interesting things they could have done at that time, rather than just writing a slightly more subdued version of the Spike that we were already familiar with

It pissed me off because I was like - you're already asking me as the viewer to buy the not-very-credible idea that Buffy would forgive him. The very least the writing needs to do is differentiate him from his un-souled self, if you want me to accept that he's soooo much better and sorry and rehabilitated, yet they did little to nothing to differentiate the two (because they'd have pissed off fans who liked Spike as is). So all I got by way of a redemption arc was Spike acting crazy for two episodes then reverting to type. His lack of remorse over Nikki particularly was really grating

Realizing it was all Joss Whedon punishing SMG for not being a ~team player~ makes it even worse

The man really treated this incredible characters like his Voodoo Barbies
