There is something poignant about a movie called American Dream being filmed in Canada, because can one achieve the American Dream in America anymore?

Saw Robot Dreams last night! It was cute, though maybe not as good as I was expecting from some of the things I've read.

That film helped me finish out the animated category, so for me, the order is something like:

The Boy and the Heron
Nimona
Spider-Verse
Robot Dreams
Elemental

One movie left in my Oscar watch! It's To Kill a Tiger, which I will probably watch on Saturday, or Sunday morning before the Oscars.

Excited to get my more regular movie-watching schedule back! I still need to see Problemista, and will be watching Love Lies Bleeding and First Time Female Director as soon as I get a chance.

So psyched I never have to see the dumb trailers for Imaginary again.

Seeing the Oscar live-action shorts tonight (and fortunately Henry Sugar is last in the lineup and I've seen that twice, so I can slip out early and make my train 👍), and I'll watch To Kill a Tiger tomorrow on Netflix, and then I guess that's it for me and Oscar noms. I missed Robot Dreams, Io Capitano, Golda (lol), American Symphony and Flamin' Hot (double lol), and I will catch up on...some of those later.

Such a slow season. I'm not really stoked for anything till Challengers next month. Can't wait to see Dune 2 again lol

Flamin' Hot and American Symphony were both bad in very different ways. You truly picked the right ones to skip there!

My advice on Flamin' Hot: gather all the Flamin' Hot products you can and eat them while high and watching the movie.

I just canceled my regal unlimited because regal pisses me off with the amount of commercials they have before and during trailers BUT that said, before it's gone forever I will probably go see Imaginary tonight, I have family coming for the weekend tomorrow so I'm gonna see if they want to Dune Part 2 (round 3 for me) this weekend, and then Sunday I will wrap up my Oscars Race just in time for the show to start.

Next week is looking like the AMC Screen Unseen, which I think might be The American Society of Magical Negros, Love Lies Bleeding, and then who knows what else.

Also I love horror so I will check out some of these on VOD.
