CBS NAACP Ventures, in partnership with P&G Studios, has announced a new Daytime Drama in development for CBS. They didn't do it slowly back in the late 00s early 10s. They killed 5 of them in less than 5 years. Since then, though... well... they've managed to stick around.

Why don’t they just do soaps novella style, have it run for a few months then end it.

Port Charles did a modified novella style for the last few years they were in production. Each 13 week cycle would be a "book" (with one exception) where the story would play out from start to finish, but the narrative remained consistent so the characters would still develop as normal.

They should employ every living Black soap opera actor/writer that got fired, disrespected or mistreated. That would be lovely. Its a nice concept either way. I want a good grown up Russell sister storyline. They were some of my favorites on Passions and I hated everything about how their characters were written after like, the first year.
