I like the soundtrack and most of the movie, but it didn’t age well tbh.

The writer/director's resume is really wild. The two major projects he's worked on recently are Beautiful Disaster/Beautiful Wedding and a couple of the After movies.

Cruel Intentions isn't perfect, but it felt pretty monumental at the time. His later work is adaptations of fan fiction and self-published schlock. I do not get it!

To be fair though, Beautiful Disaster is one of the better romcoms from the recent bunch. He decided to lean heavy into the camp and make it satire instead of doing a faithful adaptation and it seems like everyone on set had a lot of fun shooting it.
