I am really rooting for Anna to win. I love that she made her own phyllo this week. In general she seems so cheerful and positive (even when she’s made mistakes in past episodes), which I really admire (mostly because I aspire to stay so upbeat after I realize I have fucked up).
I never like croquembouche challenges because they always end up looking so messy. I think adding the krokan to the requirements gave the bakers more flexibility with their designs as well as structural stability and visual contrast. I wouldn’t mind if other Bake Off franchises added that element if they’re going to insist on doing croquembouche challenges.
