SAG Award acceptance speeches

For those of you who want the Cliffs Notes version of the SAG Awards, here are all of the winners/acceptance speeches. Despite no time limit for speeches or play off music, everyone managed to keep their thank yous pretty short.

SAG + drama Globe is a pretty bulletproof combo, i think Lily has this! the BAFTAS have been very hit or miss as an oscar predictor these past years

Tan is terrible in this capacity. The interviews were so awkward.

pedro pascal was outacted by the game lol, justice for kieran

and i'm still annoyed jeremy is sweeping for what's obviously a comedic performance

Debicki could very well win everything next season as well, the drama field is EMPTY af

not really sure about the TLOU eligibility

TLOU won't be back until 2025 so it's out too. i definitely think debicki has a really good shot at the emmy later this year, though that's the last awards show the crown is eligible for (they've been competing with the final season at everything except for the delayed emmys, where they were competing with the 2nd last season)

i enjoyed the chaos of pedro and elizabeth’s speeches because i actually believe they were both totally shocked to win lol

i really love that lily speaks in blackfeet to open her speeches. da’vine’s speeches have been really heartfelt every time. can’t wait to see what she says when she gets her oscar (and i hope we get to see that for lily too)!

I dislike when people who were clearly favorites act shocked when they win. In contrast, I love when people who sincerely did not expect to win end up winning and we get random speeches like Pedro's.

I was soooooo happy for LIly and Da'Vine too! Keeping my fingers crossed that they repeat at the Oscars!

It's always pretty easy to spot the genuinely shocked reactions from the fake shock reactions. And both theirs were pretty genuine. I think even the best actors can't fake it like that on a dime.

I love Lily speaking in Blackfoot too, mostly for its political implications, but also because the language sounds so beautiful. Then again, anything sounds great coming from her soothing voice.

ia! and also, gonna correct myself since i can't edit my post: you're right, blackfoot not blackfeet language. i knew there was a distinction between the blackfeet reservation she's from in montana and the blackfoot nations here in alberta, but didn't realize the dialects are all blackfoot. my mistake, good to know!
