She was murdered, and not a damn thing of value was lost when that asshole finally keeled over last month. I love how every single damn obituary in the art world didn't mince words about it either.

Looking up Ana Mendieta's art now, I kind of wish we could have a film that focused more on her life and art (which seems fascinating all on its own), and less on her murder and the grizzly true crime aspect. She deserves something more like JLo's Selena. But I don't know that even the women working on this will push it in this direction considering how obsessed audiences are with murderers vs. their victims.
