There is a full clip of the interview online. The whole thing was under 5 mins long and yes Savannah asked her how she felt about Beyoncé going country towards the end, but after she caught that Kelly just said "I am happy for her" twice, went right back to asking Kelly about her new movie. The exchange about B was under a minute, so it would be pretty unfortunate if she bailed on co-hosting with Hoda because of that. This was the exchange:

Savannah: “What do you think about your friend Beyoncé, she’s like your sister. You guys literally grew up together. She’s stepping into country…”

Kelly: “So proud of her.”

Savannah: “I know, but were you surprised? What do you think about it?”

Kelly: “I’m so proud of her. I’m so happy for her.”

Savannah: “Yeah, it’s incredible. So back to Mea Culpa, you play a lawyer….”

Sounds like they want a sound bite or something from her since Beyonce hardly does interviews.

making it worse by saying such a blanket statement "shes an amazing person" uhhhh

Why not just say "She was feeling unwell & had to leave immediately. She's sorry for the inconvenience caused and hopes to be back another time." or some other generic statement. To push the blame on this other interviewer seems a bit unprofessional of the rep, especially when other people on site keep claiming it was over the dressing room.

i'm sure it must suck to have your friend and bandmate become BEYONCE but she's being ridiculous. and this happened a day or two before she was supposed to host so if she was that upset about it she should've canceled then instead of leaving them scrambling at the last minute

OMG it's a few seconds!! From the way the articles were writing about I was expecting that she literally was injecting questions about Beyonce every minute!! It was just a quick question at the end of the interview. I see that Kelly didn't like it but it def wasn't the big deal that people are making it out to be. I wouldn't even say it's unprofessional either.

So it def was about the dressing room then.

lol right?! they spent the whole segment talking about her boring tyler perry movie and then they were talking about destiny's child so it made sense to segway into that, plus it's super common for interviewers to ask people about former co-stars etc. she's being way too sensitive.

i wonder if it's about both? she felt disrespected by being asked about beyonce, then showed up that day and saw she had a tiny dressing room, felt even more disrespected, and just left

She must be realllyyyyy sensitive about it to get worked up about this. Cause her attitude as fine when she brought up DC but then her tone changes a bit when asked about Beyonce even though I thought the question was fine since it was a segway and it was at the end.

Probably was both but I'm guessing the dressing room was the bigger issue because honestly the beyonce thing is a nothingburger. Someone in the previous post said a host on a canadian talk show who knows people on the today show said it was because it was stated in her contract that she'd get that big room so I guess the diva came out lol.

Plus her rep's statement makes me believe it cause she's deflecting and not really confirming nor denying the dressing room stuff lol.
