ANTM remains my very problematic fave reality show bc those girls were treated like shit. I’d love a ~serious new version where they don’t antagonize them to create scenarios, especially bc when you got 15+ young women in a house battling for a beauty award that involves deprivation, living with strangers and long hours, I doubt you’d actually need anything extra to create real drama.

mte, a half-Terrace House in terms of living and day-to-day coverage, half-The Face (Naomi Campbell's modeling show) in terms of mentor structure and challenges would work really well imo. Half the people on Terrace House are aspiring models anyway, so we know it works both for wholesome TV and natural drama along the way

That's exactly what I've always wondered! Why manufacture drama when the situation of 15 strangers (mainly teenagers/college age) being thrown in a house together already lends itself to so much chaos on its own.

There's no need to torture the girls with painful weaves/makeovers and make them do racist photoshoots.
