God, I still love this man an embarrassing amount. I recently watched the weird murder mystery in snowy Scandinavia that was so bland I've forgotten the title, but it was the first thing I'd seen him in for awhile and I was like, "yep, he's still got it."

Closer is my favourite role of his. He's incredible in that. I also love him in the BMW commercials and Children of Men.

this man had me in a chokehold for most of the 2000s but i think my faves of his are Gosford Park, The Knick and Children of Men. he manages to steal focus in GP group scenes which is impressive because that movie is like, 95% ringers cast.
