I’m not going to watch it in the global watch party, but I am interested to see it when it’s more available. I really like (for the most part, sometimes I have some minor quibbles) the Maintenance Phase podcast, and I’ve read the first book and own the second but haven’t got to it yet. The story in her book about someone taking food out of her basket at the supermarket really shocked me. I’m a fat arse, but I’m also old, so I’m in the “invisible fat” demographic, not the demographic where people say and do shitty things to my face. I would like to think I’d punch someone who ever dared do that to me, but truthfully I’d probably be so stunned I would just freeze.

I've never had someone physically reach in my cart. I can't even imagine.

But I have had more then one person stop me and tell me why the stuff in my cart was garbage and what I should buy instead. I wish someone would try that now that I've learned to speak up for myself. But back then I didn't know how and like you said I would freeze, be embarrassed. Hope no one was overhearing. And then the worse was trying to explain myself to strangers when it was none of there business.

I love Aubrey and Maintenance Phase. I got Aubrey's second book as a gift recently, but I haven't started reading it yet. I'll definitely check out the movie at some point
