One of my friends goes to Coachella every couple of years and she said in 2022 it isn't worth it anymore.

Also there are so many music festivals nowadays, Coachella just isn't special anymore

I feel like maybe actual music fans don’t want to go bc it’s not a good place for enjoying the music, and the influencers (save Vanessa Hudgens) aren’t going bc the festival trend is passé. So now no one’s goin lol.

That's exactly what it is, plus there are smaller festivals in non-desert areas that have better acts. The Jazz Festival this year in NOLA has an insane amount of talent including Hozier, Foo Fighters, Queen Latifah, etc, and is in a city with other attractions (great food, ghost and swamp tours, The French Quarter, etc).
