I don’t really have any interest in watching but this was a good book so hopefully they do a decent job.

It’s really fucked up how publishers keep churning out truly awful Holocaust books. This is one of the last ones I read because I have very little hope for them anymore.

I gave one a shot a few months ago and for PAGES it went on about how much the MC loved to mentally escape the Warsaw ghetto by reading Gone With The Wind. Zero irony or self awareness was happening when the author decided to gush endlessly about ‘quaint plantation life’🙃

Those accents are bad, particularly the one coming from the dumbass zionist - and this is just a short clip of her speaking. Yikes.

Idk how people want more of this type (WWII/Holocaust, but anything serious/tragic in general, too) of stuff to consume. Real life is already so goddamn depressing at this point (it’s always been, but “post-pandemic” just has an extra awful feel) just how do you all lose yourself in dramas? They wear my heart/mind/soul out.

Or if people really want to consume sad war movies/shows, can we pick a different war? Preferably one that happened prior to the 1900s.
