I agree, I’m from CA and we don’t eat hummus for Super Bowl. Guacamole, salsa, spinach dip are more like it.

Depends on the hummus and the party- there's this spicy one covered in a kind of salsa that I love + pita chips, and I mostly party with vegetarians and some vegans so it's always on the table as an option. Never like plain hummus and veggies though, unless you want to throw it uneaten into the compost after the party lol. But I usually also do a simple cheese plate (a bunch of TJs fun cheeses and different crackers, some fresh fruit and maybe a spicy spread and/or honey) for any gathering that everyone goes to town on. I've never watched the superbowl in my life but I am a fan of chips and dips and cheese!

Hawaiian rolls + anything is also a great combo! I do them with these masala patties (like the inside of a samosa but in patty form)+ chutney and it's a great time. Sort of like a vada pav.
