Tracy Chapman wrote this masterpiece at 23 years old. I can’t even imagine writing something so beautiful and soulful at such a young age. This song has been making me cry since the 90s. It hits so different as an adult too. I loved how Luke Combs was clearly humbled by her presence and was just a fan singing with one of his idols. It was such a beautiful performance. Imagine covering a song that inspired you to become a musician and then playing on a big stage with the original performer. I can’t even imagine that type of full circle moment
