His biggest promo is this controversy with Britney. I bet he knows that and that’s why he said he wouldn’t apologize. Britney fan pages, gossip pages, twitter, TikTok, and even Britney herself, all were complaining about it. Without all that I wouldn’t even know what’s his new song title and he would have flopped even harder.

But Britney fans don’t have much to talk about regarding her career, so I guess this is a form of entertainment.

I also don’t doubt that he might lean even more into this, since a huge part of the public is very misogynistic and ableist against Brit and might even start supporting him now.

I have hated him since he was in N Sync and there’s nothing he likes more than attention.

I honestly doubt that that misogynistic public will buy his new music in numbers enough to actually make a difference unless he does a full rebrand to the extreme right ala Russell Brand. He's too ass backwards and terrible for anyone with taste and too liberal and R&B for the conservatives and or "Alpha bros." He's not enough of anything and not in a smart Taylor Swift way. I don't wanna sound too confident but I really think he's totally and completely fucked without a MAJOR hit that moves the dial past 2007 sound wise. And considering the songs he's released and previewed and the entire concept of this record, I'm doubting that's gonna happen. But who knows.

I do think the tour will continue to sell fine considering that he's going for smaller venues just because he's a total nostalgia act now.

It feels like the music industry these days is split into "chart relevant but can't sell out large venues" (that's if they can even complete a tour) and "older act who used to be chart relevant, probably won't ever be again, but can still comfortably pack an arena." I think he's entering the latter phase

I agree. The question is, does he know/accept that yet? I think his team definitely does but him? I'm not so sure.
