I don’t like romance or kissing or sexy times in things I’m watching generally, and I don’t know if this even counts because it’s not so much the kissing itself as the fact that they are just going hammer and tongs at each other, but the one that has always stuck in my head for 30 years now is the movie Priest. There’s a scene where Linus Roache and Robert Carlyle meet in a nightclub or something and then it cuts to this scene of them pashing and going at it, and I think it’s the only time in my life I have unironically and involuntarily exclaimed “Phwoaaar!” in my life. It has been at least 20 years since I last saw that film, and maybe longer, but I still think about that scene when I see either of them show up in anything I am watching.
