Torne pioneered the use of the holodeck as a centerpiece on Star Trek: TNG during his time there, as well as writing for The Outer Limits.

Oh shit, that's awful. He's got an indepth obit on Hollywood Reporter.

Sliders first season was great, I remember the rest going way downhill because of clearly Fox corporate asshole meddling.

He was also the son of singer Mel Tormé. If you watched the '80s Night Court, Judge Harry Stone was a fan & he played himself in a few episodes.

He brought Mel onto one of the early Sliders episodes. He was so cute on it, and it was shortly before he died.

Awww nooo.
The first 2 seasons of Sliders was the BEST. I've been binging the Outer Limits and it honestly holds up. Only a few dud episodes in the first 3 seasons so far!

I remember watching Sliders in Russian on my grandma's tiny kitchen tube TV in the 90's whenever I could.
