A big problem they had was me and my friend stared at the promo graphic on paramount plus for like 5 minutes going “…is that Sarah Michelle Gellar?” We legit could not tell from the advertising and how weird they made her look, and we like SMG! We might’ve considered watching it lol if this wasn’t literally two days ago and now they’re cancelling it.

I like SMG and wish her success* but she does her projects no favors by the way she behaves on-set. She’s got the JLo “no eye contact unless you’re a producer or above” rule but that’s been standard on TV sets since around 2015. I think the bigger problem is the diva way she has to check every lighting setup before a scene can shoot and the way she would count every character’s lines and then immediately demand rewrites/additions if her character didn’t have the most. And she also had an on-set firewoman AND fire psychologist who coached her before every scene.

Paramount+ budgets aren’t lavish and she was injecting a lot of extra cost. She made fun of the teen actors’ acne sometimes, too.

I’d say they should do an animated Buffy series, where they ignore the comics and continue from the show. The problem with that is how many of the Buffy actors are horrible irl.

The comics are awesome after season 8 tbh, especially Angel & Faith

I checked out the first episode and it was... not great, so I sort of forgot to get back to it.

I'm not surprised it got canceled though because I literally only found out about this show because of ONTD, I've not seen it mentioned a single time elsewhere.
