I would actually love to see another companion (like Martha, but better treated) just be like hey we've had some great adventures but also I have a life, I'll catch you in a little while. There's too many tragic endings for companions, especially during Moffat's tenure, and I hope this new run is going bring back a little more care for the people around the doctor.

Yeah that's so real, I think the actually kind of poked fun at that in the last David Tennant special that just aired-all these tragic endings where the companions technically survive but he never sees them again
