There must have been a shortage of white/whitish Cubans /s but nah, Jose’s casting is always so interesting to me because he was definitely dark haired and dark eyed but he was very much a blanquito lol. They always cast a mestizo who’s not Cuban as him and now when they finally got a white man, it’s a Spaniard, as if there’s a shortage of white/whitish Cubans.
