This reminds of celebrity mole. My fav season is when kathy griffin was on - so damn funny. Does anyone know if this is as entertaining as that?

I laugh a lot, I think it's definitely entertaining. Now I want to go find celebrity mole streaming.

the mole was the best reality show ever imo

the recent reboot was good too. give us another one, netflix. it can't be that expensive to produce.

I loved Celebrity Mole! I'm so hooked on The Traitors that I watched all the versions.

off to a pretty good start, though it's kind of annoying having the us and uk versions airing at the same time when they're using the same twists and challenge. the fact that the latest episode of the uk had both the night time challenge and the ~murder in plain sight twists on the same day the us had it made it feel really redundant

Yeah I really dont understand why UK/US have to be clones of one another sans cast members. Australia did a good job of differentiating itself.

And like you said...why are they airing at the same time. Though Peacock wont air the UK season for another 5 months likely.

i feel like most of the reality shows that have different versions for different countries - like love island or the circle - implement similar twists during seasons and it's fine but when they're airing at the same time, it can be a bit annoying. i wouldn't care much if they were months apart but i watched both episodes last night so it was a bit much

It's a money saving thing, I think. Those missions can't be cheap to set up.

But then I'm sure they could do something on some of the cheaper ones to mix it up. Just something to make it less outright identical

i prefer the season of all reality contestants vs half and half because the celebs overpower the regulars. they are so much more outspoken. though, Dan is such an obvious choice. id be surprised if he makes it far, though these shows tend to be full of dummys

i get roped into this show despite not even really liking it all that much. i think bc its a weekend and i just can veg out in front of it. the challenges are sort of lame (i do like the addition of adding shields within the challenge though), the discussions are generally baseless because there is no rhyme or reason to anything. everyone has the same objective - to get money at the end so its like, what are you basing things off of? i think thats why i prefer a show like the mole because theres something for the mole/traitor to do beyond just writing a name on a piece of paper

I agree, I like having all reality contestants too. Do one or the other but mixed was not as fun.

i would immediately suspect dan was picked to be a traitor the same way i would have assumed cirie was last season. you don't have these big reality tv strategic legends on your show and not pick them to do the most strategic role

I have so many thoughts! I like this season better than the first one already so far! [Spoilers] I hate Dan. I did on Big Brother and I hate him here. He is not this master strategist these people are just really bad at this game so far. For instance, Maks was sitting right there when Marcus told Dan that he thought he was suspicious acting and then that night Marcus was killed. Did Maks forget that? Did he just not ping that? I was really hoping he would bring that up but never did. I think Phaedra could take the whole thing, I am really hoping she will turn against Dan and get him out because he will do it to her in a heartbeat. I truly think that is why he did not pick Janelle to be the third traitor because he knows she would do that.

I think the thing with calling out a traitor and them being killed later, its almost too obvious? so it never happens. and it can easily be twisted to saying that like well he's being framed because he wouldnt be that stupid to murder him after being called out

Yeah but I think it would be worth bringing up. It's better than "she made a weird face when I made a joke" haha

I couldn't watch the American one because the reality show stars are just not enjoyable.

Yeah, I feel like they're already there too much to play a persona. Definitely mixing them with the normals was a bad idea, they overpowered everything.

This!! The 50% "celeb" thing was bad enough, but I despise that it's 100% "celebs." The normal contestants are there to play the game. The reality "celebs" are there to expand their brand, so they're all about themselves instead of the game. It's horrible. I don't want to watch some jerk named "Bananas" of all things put on some stupid persona and just try to get the most screentime. I want to see people playing the actual game of The Traitors.

I don't understand people who prefer the "celebs." Are they just too lazy to get to know a new person? Do they just want big!shiny!loud! instead of real people playing a game?

Either way, The Traitors US is just another example of how Americans ruin things.
