It's being used therapeutically now but for years people used it as a party drug and it's a damn horse tranquilizer. I've never done it but I've heard of people talk about going into a k hole.

Yeah, it’s an anasthetic/painkiller that can cause dissociation, hallucinations… ever heard of a k-hole? That’s a ketamine thing.

I mean, a lot of prescription drugs with for therapeutic purposes are used recreationally, and pretty much any drug with analgesic or anaesthetic properties are being misused by someone somewhere. Ones that cause dissociative states with hallucinogenic properties at higher doses like Ket is definitely appealing the recreational crowd.

Ketamine is actually quite a cool drug chemically. It’s a dissociative anesthetic but unlike the majority of anaesthetics, it doesn’t depress your respiratory system and it actually increases blood pressure, which is why it is an excellent drug to use for battlefield/out of hospital medicine. And why it’s used in veterinary medicine.
