Ah yes, the true tragedy in hollywood, not being able to be driven by someone else to a movie set. Just not enough drivers for the entitled.

Lol @ emojis. Y'all know damn well if this was a guy, or a yt you'd be saying the same, hypocrites.

the point is this isn’t a white man or woman speaking up, genius. they’re probably already getting drivers 🙄 taraji is fighting for black actors to get them

Exactly because this has absolutely nothing to do with race, other black actors I have seen get personal drivers. They already spent $100 million dollars on this film, that did not need to be remade, especially since nothing can touch the original. But the point is, you're all still hypocrites. Not everyone gets personal drivers unless you b**** about it and that's the last thing that anyone needs that's not an issue whatsoever.

you’re wrong on multiple fronts but I just want to point out this isn’t a remake of the original movie from 1985 lol. it’s a film adaptation of the musical.

years ago this was an issue on Riverdale, KJ almost crashed driving home after filming way into the night and they cast had to really pressure production to get drivers

if the CW can do a $100 million production should be able as well

Glad she got her drivers, and really rad she included everyone else too!! That was very selfless of her 💛

And obviously what drownsodapop , v is for Violet, and curdles said & just444 brings up a good point, I forgot about that-

Actually, I know Wendy Williams always had a driver to set(not sure if she paid for it oop, or business expense) and I said I’d like to be rich enough to have a driver to and from work.
And I’m sure athletes have drivers and maybe doctors?

But there are so many other industries where incorporating a driver into your contract would …… like it’s just feels like a class thing😔 idk made me
Sad .

Not in the US but a family friend is a doctor and she has no driver, just a nice car and drives herself.

If Warner Brothers can provide the barbie cast and crew with special menus and shit on set then surely a movie backed by Oprah and Spielberg shouldn’t have to ask for the basic industry standard. It’s so frustrating that people of color are still fighting for equity and when they rightfully speak up about it, people are bothered as if they should just accept their circumstances and be grateful.

What was going on with this production? No drivers, no food, no dressing rooms? It wasn’t an indie film with a tight budget so I’m confused as to why this has to be asked in the first place. It’s a huge liability to have actors drive too.
I wanna say because black, but I have to think there was another reason.

This isn't Oprah's fault. Stop that.
