i was gonna say this has been a thing for the past year, minimum, although maybe its hitting a new fever pitch? all i know is my niece's girlfriend - a very trendy tiktok Clean Girl(tm) type - was obsessed with getting a particular color last Christmas.

lol no, that would be much more up my alley though. No, it's an ~aesthetic, typified by slicked back buns, minimal dewy makeup, dainty gold jewelry, neutral sets, blazers and lululemon etc. Hailey Bieber was the mascot for a while. Idk its a whole thing. Ngl even knowing about this makes me feel like the terrible mom in Mean Girls talking about how they keep her young lol.

I do not really follow this corporation, and only go there myself when on a road trip, but the few locations around me always seem very busy. I think it is also a common place for coffee meetings. (And I live in a place with many other options that are available and also popular). So it definitely does not feel like "on the way out" type brand (which is what I assumed the original comment was implying).

This country is so embarrassing. I can't with resellers. I get trying to make a few extra bucks but they're just ripping people off.
