idk who hayley atwell is related to but some relative must be a head honcho at disney to make her repeatedly a main character in these shows when the character is so dull

iirc one of the main writers is a Peggy fangirl and recently credited Captain Carter with singlehandedly advancing feminism in that universe. I can't believe how much Peggy Carter we've had to endure since her character died in 2016!

Hayley is working hard. I wish other characters had a chance to shine. What If should just be standalone episodes instead of this weird Mary-Sue worship.

That's what I want to know. I am not immersed in the MCU like that but I always saw nothing but praise and love for her. I dunno what happened but, considering there's a million shows between movies, perhaps they've written her to be terrible?

i'm gonna assume some men on reddit got fed up and it leaked into and onto the women, bc it makes zero sense to me.

Most of the Reddit men love her bc they crush on Hayley Atwell.

I enjoyed most of season 2 but it really was the Peggy Carter show and I didn't mind that but I'd prefer her to take a sideline next season since there's so many other characters and random comic storylines they could do but given the way things ended, seems unlikely.
Though I could make a case for Thor being in like 4 or 5 of the 9 episodes too lol

The finale was kind of a let down though? Just a big ol' fight between 3 stupidly overpowered beings lol But that's the problem I've found with Marvel, they never really manage to stick the landing.

My guess re: the Peggy Carter overload this season is that people responded really well to Captain Carter last season and in Multiverse of Madness and Marvel decided to enthusiastically throw her at the viewers to the point of burn out this season because we all know the MCU does nothing in moderation, especially these days. That, or Hayley Atwell had a lot more availability than the other usual suspects. Either way, I like the character and wasn't bothered by the Cap Carter dominance this season, I just wish we'd gotten to see more of other characters we haven't seen in a while.

Kahhori (and her intro episode) was phenomenal though.

I don't think this is a reaction to the audience liking one character or another because animation has a long production cycle. The head writer AC Bradley said they started working on S2 in 2020 - one year before S1 even aired.

i watched the first ep and i'll watch the one with the new original (i think?) character but that will be it. i don't want to watch the goddamn peggy carter show when sharon has gotten far less than even fucking crumbs from this franchise.
