I had to unfollow one of the bigger Palestinian voice accounts I was following bc he turned around and said anyone who was speaking against Shaun was a paid agent and pro-Zionist. Like, the absolute fucking insanity and unhinged behavior bc this quack who makes a living by co-opting the pain of poc got banned from social media. And people crying about how they taking away one of the biggest voices speaking out about what’s happening. Like if three months in, people are still relying on Shaun King for news on what’s happening in Gaza and not actual on the ground Palestinian journalists, I think we all have much bigger issues

Ok, to be clear, he was suspended for the things he was sharing on Instagram re: Palestine, yes. He was warned by Instagram multiple times and then they did ban him. My comment was about the unhinged way people have behaved about his banning, basically deifying him and putting him in this pedestal and completely ignoring the fact that this man has a habit and history of co-opting the paint of people of color to make money and profit. He jumped on the Pro Palestine train because he’s running a grift. That’s who Shaun king is and those of us who know that don’t give a shit to be upset that he got banned, regardless the reason
