i haven't watched the christmas special yet

does the new doctor get pants? and by pants i mean trousers bc i am american.

It was a kilt but I think they purposely made it non gender conforming

Hmmmm. I want to like it, it was fun in places but the goblins didn't seem substantial enough and the whole thing wrapped up very neatly with the ship disappearing. Also felt a bit weird that the Doctor didn't have a moment to tell the goblins to go away. Or was that in the song? If the concept has been a less crowded mid-season ep, I think I might have liked it more.

That said, looking forward to the first full season.

Loved the Doctor, loved Ruby, and loved their chemistry together. The episode was pretty much what you'd expect from a Christmas special and although it was fun, I'm sure I'll have forgotten about most of it in six months.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of Ncuti and Millie in the next season though.

The three specials were genuinely great (with a few corny bits but hey - that’s Who) but I can honestly say this is the most engaged I’ve felt by the show since Matt Smith’s first season.

The Christmas ep was a bit of a mess but still fun.
