I can't find the direct quotes, but he talked about being unhappy with the way he was portrayed on the show. Because he was a gay stay at home dad, he felt that the producers went out of their way to depict him as effeminate - like they only showed him chatting with the other contestants about feminine things, not sports, that sort of stuff.
