As someone who actually enjoys Archie Comics (they're cute!!!), I hate Riverdale with a burning passion. But I always thought Reggie was really well cast in the show yet underused so I'm glad that Melton is having his moment now that the show is over.

It wasn’t until the final season that Reggie got to shine as a character tbh, but even so, that version of Reggie doesn’t super duper feel like the cocky, arrogant, class clown Reggie he’s supposed to be

Nice to see actors appreciate their beginning instead of trashing it the minute they get the critical acclaimed/oscar-bait gigs.

the internet has such a weird hatred and misunderstanding of riverdale that they project onto the cast and have for years, to the point it comes off as wanting the case to have been miserable or mistreated, as if there aren't enough horror stories of that.

like any long running show, the cast was happy to move on and pursue other things by the time it was over, but they were in on the joke, got a lot of experience and exposure, all got along (other than some messy exes) and from the sounds of it, had a healthy and good work environment. they were fine. and in charles' case, he was often granted a lot of flexibility in his schedule to allow him to take other jobs during filming, like may december.
