like any long running show, the cast was happy to move on and pursue other things by the time it was over, but they were in on the joke, got a lot of experience and exposure, all got along (other than some messy exes) and from the sounds of it, had a healthy and good work environment. they were fine. and in charles' case, he was often granted a lot of flexibility in his schedule to allow him to take other jobs during filming, like may december.
